Welcome to the website for the Southern Maine Advisory Council on Transition's (SMACT) new home for sharing information on the web. SMACT is an organization made up of a dedicated group of people including, parents, school staff, service providers, state agency staff, youth and other community members who live or work or who are interested in helping youth transitioning out of high school. At this time, members of SMACT meet monthly from October to May generally, on the first Friday of the month from 1pm-3pm at the Historic Marine Hospital (Building #5) at Martin's Point (331 Veranda St Portland). We encourage you to attend monthly meetings, even if you need to arrive after 1 or leave before 3. Information from the meetings and from other sources will be regularly added to this website in an effort to help folks with transition age youth, stay in the loop of the most current information. This website is ever evolving. Information is being added frequently. Please keep checking back!!
